Increased Healing= The Ability to heal sooner when shifted than other Moderates, wounds will knit swiftly, however blood loss will still take time to regain strength, silver and burned wounds are uneffected by this and will still heal humanly slow.
Partial Shift= The ability to shift only certain parts of one's body into beast form, the stronger the Moderate, the more control they will have over this. History:
Toby was born in city of Baton Rouge in the year of our Lord, 1979. His parents were a couple of your average citizens trying to make a life for themselves in the big city. They were housed in an apartment complex on the outskirts of the city. The three of them led a fairly normal life. His father worked at a paper mill in the city and his mother was a waitress at a local diner. His father lived a fairly decent life, working day to day. His mother's job was mostly meant to help buy gifts for Toby on his birthday and Christmas and things like that. Days were mostly the same. They worked day in and day out. After a few years, it became time for Toby to go to school. His first day at kindergarten was like any other child in the city. His mother brought him to school and sent him on his way with a hug and a kiss. She watched with tears as her little boy started to "grow up". The days came and went like most others. Toby showed exceptional intelligence in his class and his teachers began to pick up on it quickly. By the third grade, he was working at a sixth grade level. He learned to read and write by the age of six. The teachers decided to place him in the "gifted" class so his intelligence could really be put to use. He continued to excel in school at an exceptional rate. By the age of nine, he was almost in high school. One day, while playing outside, Toby heard some noises coming from the woods. He went to investigate and came across a man crouched by the carcass of a deer. It looked like the man was eating the deer so Toby walked over to see if he could help. As he approached the man, the man turned and leapt at him. The man knocked Toby to the ground and bite him on the neck. As he lay there crying and screaming, the man ran off into the woods. He got up and ran back to his house. His parents rushed him to the hospital and had his wounds treated. The doctor informed them that it appeared to be an adult human bite on his neck. His parents reported the incident to the local authorities after he was released from the hospital. Nothing ever came from the report. In time, his parents noticed that Toby's behavior had begun to change. He spent more time outdoors in the local woods, playing. His work in school didn't falter so his parents paid it no mind. By the age of 11, his parents noticed that he had begin to have animals follow him around as he walked through the city. Cats, dogs, rats, sometimes even birds flew overhead of him. His parents began to worry about him since it wasn't normal for a kid to have so many animals follow him. They would even notice him talking to the animals on occassion and watched, in shock, as the animals left to do what seemed like his bidding. His grades continued to excel in school, though. They continued to keep a close eye on their little boy. After he turned twelve, Konstant began to act differently. He began to shun off schoolwork and spent almost all of his time outdoors. Sometimes, he would even sleep outdoors. His animals stayed with him almost constantly. One day, he came home for school and put his books away. He heard what sounded like arguing upstairs so he went to go investigate. He crept closer to their bedroom door, which was cracked open. He saw his father yelling at his mother then brought his fist back and smashed his mother's face in. Blood spewed all over the front of his dad's shirt as his mom's nose broke open. He watched in horror as his dad began to beat his mom. The blood brought on a rage of anger and he became aroused as he watched the blood spray. While his dad beat his mom, his body began to change. His shifted into the war being that he was destined to become. Spotted fur sprouted all over his body and his form began to change. He grew taller...almost up to seven feet to be exact. Claws formed on his fingers and his face began to shift. It shifted to that of a leopard-like being. As the rage coursed through his body, he burst into the room and threw his dad off of his mom. His dad looked up in horror and began to scream as the beast tore into him. His mom screamed and watched in terror as the creature devoured her husband. As the creature ripped into her husband, his mom leapt onto the back of him. He roared and thew her across the room with one swift shift of his body. She crashed into the wall and was knocked unconscious. One his dad was dead, he went over to his mom and began to feast on her as well. After a bit, the wail of sirens pierced the air surrounding the apartment complex. Konstant's instinct took over and he raced out of the back door, heading into the woods.
After running for what seemed like hours, he collapsed onto the ground and fell into unconsciousness. His body slipped into a coma as his body shifted back to that of a normal child. This first shift had done much damage to the boy. His mind was warped and he would not be the Toby that everyone else had known. When he woke up, he gazed around in a cloud of confusion. He didn't know where he was or why he was even here. As he sat up, he noticed that he was naked and there was blood on his face and hands. As he sat there trying to think, he realized that hedidn't even know who he was or where he had come from. This realization made him cry so he sat there and cried for hours. After a while, he realized that he had to clean up and escape the area. He wandered down to a local creek and began to wash the blood from his hands and face. He found some tattered clothes lying by the creek so he put those on and began to walk. He walked out of the woods and began to use the back roads to get around. His feet began to take him in a southernly direction so he walked towards the good ole' city of Nawlins.....or better known as New Orleans to outsiders. He spent the nights sleeping in the woods, huddled with some local creatures from the area. During the day, he would travel the roads and make his way south.
After a few days, he arrived in the city of Nawlins and gazed around in awe. He smiled a bit and dashed off into the city, in hopes of finding himself and information about him. He had no family or money so he was forced to spend his nights on the street. One evening, he met an old drunkard named Bobo in one of the city's alleys. Bobo took pity on the boy and let him stay in the alley with him. Bobo had a bit of whiskey left so he shared with the boy. He cackled as the boy coughed and shuddered from the whiskey. He gently clapped him on the back and shook his head. He asked the boy his name.
"Wha's yo name, bo'?"
"I don't know," replied the boy.
"You don' know? Shame....lyf's always a constant m'stry." After pausing for a moment, Bobo laughed a bit. "I know.....I'll call ya's Konstant. You'll always be a constant m'stry to me."
The boy smiled. Now....he had a name. Konstant Misturie. He had no idea how to spell it but all he knew was that he has a name. Bobo helped take care of Konstant on the streets. They shared a box together and even went hunting together. The nights on the street were rough. Street life revealed a lot of things to Konstant. He watched people get mugged and beaten in the alleys near him. He had seen people squabble over small amounts of change and became friends with a lot of the local homeless people. As the full moon drew closer, Konstant realized that he had to leave the area. One night, while Bobo was sleeping, Konstant ran away from the city. He went into the local woods because he knew that something bad was gonna happen again. As the full moon rose overheard, Konstant shifted into a full fledged leopard and roamed around the woods. He came across some rabbits and a deer and easily devoured those. Konstant was much larger than a regular leopard so hunting came easy for him. After the full moon passed, he went back to the city and found Bobo. Bobo asked why he had left but he wouldn't tell Bobo. He would never tell anyone of the monster than he had become. As the years went by, he left before each full moon and stayed in the woods away from the city. Bobo noticed that he always left around the same time each month but never said any more about it.
After turning sixteen, Bobo took Konstant into the bad part of the city to teach him a lesson. As they hid in the alley, the world as he knew it collapsed around him. A hooker lured a man into the alley and Konstant watched the couple go at it. The man began to become rough with the woman and slap her around a bit. The scene caused him to become aroused as he watched the man hit her. The woman clawed at the man's face and the smell of blood pierced the air. Konstant's mind flashed with cloudy images and his eyes began to change. He tried to fight the shift but he knew that it was hopeless. In an few moments, he became the war sentinel that he was when he had destroyed his parents. He helplessly began to tear into the man and easily ripped him to shreds. After he was done, he looked back at the hooker and Bobo and scampered off as the woman screamed in terror. He used the routes that he knew well to get back to the woods surrounding the city. After going deep into the woods, he began to calm down and the shift back threw him into another coma. After countless hours of being unconscious, he awoke and began to head away from the city. He knew that he couldn't remain in any city for too long or else he would do what he had just done.
He began to travel from city to city, never staying in one place for too long. He got involved in gangs in some cities but soon realized that the violence only fueled his Beast's desire to consume everything and anyone in his path. As he grew older, he found himself becoming attracted to the females in the cities. He knew that violenced and blood fueled his beast but he was about to learn another lesson in life. In Houston, Konstant met up with a girl named Julie at a local cafe in the city. They talked and he found himself in comfort around her. She was a few years older than him but that didn't matter. After lunch, she invited Konstant back up to her place. As they sat on the couch, she told him that she needed to go freshen up a bit. Konstant sat back on the couched and turned his head as he hard her clear her throat. Standing in the doorway to the bedroom, she was wearing a sheer nightie and beckoned to him seductively. Konstant felt himself become very aroused and willingly followed. They began to go at it hot and heavy, clothes flying everywhere. As the lust began to build, Konstant felt his Beast begin to stir and tried to fight it hard. He failed and the Beast ripped at him, causing him to shift again. As he turned into the creature intent on destroying Julie, she began to scream and ran towards the door. He easily caught her and tossed her around the room a bit, thinking that his food wanted to play cat and mouse. He batted her around a bit then finally grew tired of the game and tore into her. The smell of blood filled the air as her screams died away and he ripped at her lifeless body. After finishing his meal, he leapt out of the window and fled the city.

He noticed that he could sense that others were like him but that made him even more afraid of them because he knew that he was capable of destruction and dreaded to discover what they were capable of. He couldn't tell if he was the only one of his kind or if there was others but he really didn't care at the time. His condition scared him so he tried his best to hide it. He would spend the time needed in the woods to shift monthly and learned to shy away from the things that fueled his change. When he turned twenty, Konstant stumbled across another of his kind. While hunting in the woods near San Diego, he came across a leopard feasting upon the carcass of a recent kill of his. He began to grow angry at this and felt his shift began to come on. As he began to shift, the other leopard looked at him and just stared. Instantly, he felt the need go away and he wondered how this could be. The leopard across from him shifted and became a man. He introduced himself as Matt. Konstant instantly knew that Matt was stronger than him so he told Matt his name. Matt took him under his wing and began to show him the ways of his kind. Soon, he learned about the pack structure and how to tell who was in charge. Matt even began to show him how to control his shift. After several years of training, Matt deemed Konstant as ready to face the world on his own again. Konstant traveled a bit, eventually heading back to the city of Nawlins. He took up a residence there, finding a local job as a night guard at a business. After a few months, Konstant began to grow restless. He left the city and began to travel again. After months of traveling, he stumbled across the city of Calgary.
So, the next chapter of his life was written. Calgary had seemed like a blur to him. He remembered arriving to the city and establishing his place in the local pard, the Shemsu-Sekhmet. After swearing loyalty to the Ra, Tragedy, he began to establish his place in the city. One of his pard mates, Cyne, offered him a job as a bouncer at her club called the Eclipse. Needing work, he gladly accepted. He began to live a somewhat normal life after a week or so of being there. He started renting a condo and getting to know some of his pard mates. He ran into a few sensitive women in a club called Sinfully Sweet. One of them, Tamara, became particularly close to him after a few weeks of being there. Sure, they had sex a couple of times. Hell, he had sex with quite a few people within the first few weeks of being there. This one was different, though. For Christmas, she bought him a silver Mercedes SLK. He was kind of reluctant to accept it but he didn’t want to upset her. Another woman that became particular close to him was a leopard named Summer. She was different than most of the other pard women. She was intelligent, hot as hell, and very caring. Soon, he became pretty close to her. After a while, she became his source of comfort, unbeknownst to him at the time. He continued to live a normal life, visiting the pard house and taking care of his pard dues and his job. He even helped a weak leopard named Raelin get her little girl back, along with freeing some other kids as well. Mainly, he just tried to keep his nose clean while following the rules. After a while, things began to change. The city was different..vampires began to fight leopards and leopards were fighting vampires. Soon, there was an all out war. After being forced into hiding by his Raj, Tristant, Konstant just stayed around the safe house and helped out with what he could. He wasn’t much of a help and he had debated on leaving several times. After the war was over, his Ra left and another lady took over named Sixx. He never really met her. After a couple of weeks, Konstant began to feel really uncomfortable in the city and was deciding to leave soon. After receiving a phone call, Konstant met Summer at some local café to discuss some things. She had been offered a job in Florence, Italy and was leaving soon. She wanted him to come with her. He took a couple of days to think on it but decided that it was for the best. So, after packing his stuff and buying a plane ticket, he was on his way to Italy with her. Once in Italy, Summer and he were in hiding a lot. Life got very dull and boring always being on the lookout over your back so eventually Summer approached him about moving to Kansas City. She informed him that her mentor, Tristan, was there and he wanted her to come and work for him. Konstant wouldn’t remain there without her because there was no reason for him to do so. It was only a city, after all. So they packed up and moved to Kansas City. Before moving there, he had decided to help shield his beast a bit and learn to hold it back some as to not be so dominant. It was more of a protection thing than to fool people because people would underestimate his abilities and he could crush them if he needed to. Only a select few people would ever know the true strength of his power and Summer would be one of them.

In an few moments, he became the war sentinel that he was when he had destroyed his parents. He helplessly began to tear into the man and easily ripped him to shreds. After he was done, he looked back at the hooker and Bobo and scampered off as the woman screamed in terror. He used the routes that he knew well to get back to the woods surrounding the city. After going deep into the woods, he began to calm down and the shift back threw him into another coma. After countless hours of being unconscious, he awoke and began to head away from the city. He knew that he couldn't remain in any city for too long or else he would do what he had just done.
He began to travel from city to city, never staying in one place for too long. He got involved in gangs in some cities but soon realized that the violence only fueled his Beast's desire to consume everything and anyone in his path. As he grew older, he found himself becoming attracted to the females in the cities. He knew that violenced and blood fueled his beast but he was about to learn another lesson in life. In Houston, Konstant met up with a girl named Julie at a local cafe in the city. They talked and he found himself in comfort around her. She was a few years older than him but that didn't matter. After lunch, she invited Konstant back up to her place. As they sat on the couch, she told him that she needed to go freshen up a bit. Konstant sat back on the couched and turned his head as he hard her clear her throat. Standing in the doorway to the bedroom, she was wearing a sheer nightie and beckoned to him seductively. Konstant felt himself become very aroused and willingly followed. They began to go at it hot and heavy, clothes flying everywhere. As the lust began to build, Konstant felt his Beast begin to stir and tried to fight it hard. He failed and the Beast ripped at him, causing him to shift again. As he turned into the creature intent on destroying Julie, she began to scream and ran towards the door. He easily caught her and tossed her around the room a bit, thinking that his food wanted to play cat and mouse. He batted her around a bit then finally grew tired of the game and tore into her. The smell of blood filled the air as her screams died away and he ripped at her lifeless body. After finishing his meal, he leapt out of the window and fled the city.
After staying in the woods for weeks, Konstant began to realize that certain things fueled his need to shift. Blood, lust, sex, violence....so far. It scared him because he knew that he must learn to control this or else he would never be safe in any city. He traveled from city to city, never trying to grow close to anyone or anything. He noticed that he could sense that others were like him but that made him even more afraid of them because he knew that he was capable of destruction and dreaded to discover what they were capable of. He couldn't tell if he was the only one of his kind or if there was others but he really didn't care at the time. His condition scared him so he tried his best to hide it. He would spend the time needed in the woods to shift monthly and learned to shy away from the things that fueled his change. When he turned twenty, Konstant stumbled across another of his kind. While hunting in the woods near San Diego, he came across a leopard feasting upon the carcass of a recent kill of his. He began to grow angry at this and felt his shift began to come on. As he began to shift, the other leopard looked at him and just stared. Instantly, he felt the need go away and he wondered how this could be. The leopard across from him shifted and became a man. He introduced himself as Matt. Konstant instantly knew that Matt was stronger than him so he told Matt his name. Matt took him under his wing and began to show him the ways of his kind. Soon, he learned about the pack structure and how to tell who was in charge. Matt even began to show him how to control his shift. After several years of training, Matt deemed Konstant as ready to face the world on his own again. Konstant traveled a bit, eventually heading back to the city of Nawlins. He took up a residence there, finding a local job as a night guard at a business. After a few months, Konstant began to grow restless. He left the city and began to travel again. After months of traveling, he stumbled across the city of Calgary.
So, the next chapter of his life was written. Calgary had seemed like a blur to him. He remembered arriving to the city and establishing his place in the local pard, the Shemsu-Sekhmet. After swearing loyalty to the Ra, Tragedy, he began to establish his place in the city. One of his pard mates, Cyne, offered him a job as a bouncer at her club called the Eclipse. Needing work, he gladly accepted. He began to live a somewhat normal life after a week or so of being there. He started renting a condo and getting to know some of his pard mates. He ran into a few sensitive women in a club called Sinfully Sweet. One of them, Tamara, became particularly close to him after a few weeks of being there. Sure, they had sex a couple of times. Hell, he had sex with quite a few people within the first few weeks of being there. This one was different, though. For Christmas, she bought him a silver Mercedes SLK. He was kind of reluctant to accept it but he didn’t want to upset her. Another woman that became particular close to him was a leopard named Summer. She was different than most of the other pard women. She was intelligent, hot as hell, and very caring. Soon, he became pretty close to her. After a while, she became his source of comfort, unbeknownst to him at the time. He continued to live a normal life, visiting the pard house and taking care of his pard dues and his job. He even helped a weak leopard named Raelin get her little girl back, along with freeing some other kids as well. Mainly, he just tried to keep his nose clean while following the rules. After a while, things began to change. The city was different..vampires began to fight leopards and leopards were fighting vampires. Soon, there was an all out war. After being forced into hiding by his Raj, Tristant, Konstant just stayed around the safe house and helped out with what he could. He wasn’t much of a help and he had debated on leaving several times. After the war was over, his Ra left and another lady took over named Sixx. He never really met her. After a couple of weeks, Konstant began to feel really uncomfortable in the city and was deciding to leave soon. After receiving a phone call, Konstant met Summer at some local café to discuss some things. She had been offered a job in Florence, Italy and was leaving soon. She wanted him to come with her. He took a couple of days to think on it but decided that it was for the best. So, after packing his stuff and buying a plane ticket, he was on his way to Italy with her. Once in Italy, Summer and he were in hiding a lot. Life got very dull and boring always being on the lookout over your back so eventually Summer approached him about moving to Kansas City. She informed him that her mentor, Tristan, was there and he wanted her to come and work for him. Konstant wouldn’t remain there without her because there was no reason for him to do so. It was only a city, after all. So they packed up and moved to Kansas City. Before moving there, he had decided to help shield his beast a bit and learn to hold it back some as to not be so dominant. It was more of a protection thing than to fool people because people would underestimate his abilities and he could crush them if he needed to. Only a select few people would ever know the true strength of his power and Summer would be one of them.
